Accomodation
If you are travelling to the hospital and require accommodation we can off basic, free of charge accommodation for those without mobility issues.
We would strongly advise that you bring a relative or friend to stay with
you. The patient rooms are free of charge and sleep two people in single
beds, your relative or friend will not be charged if they share the room
with you.
However, if you are admitted to the ward following surgery, any person
sharing with you will have to vacate the patient room and move to the
relative accommodation. This will incur a fee per night which would be
invoiced to you by the Trust's Accommodation Management Team. If
you and your friend or relative require separate rooms the fee per
night would also apply.
Checking in and out of your room(s)
The keys for your rooms need to be collected from the Accommodation
Office between 10.00am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday. We would advise that your friend or relative collect the key on your behalf.
If you arrive after 2.30pm the Accommodation Office will be closed, so
after this time please report to the Porters' Lodge which is situated
inside the main hospital entrance on B Road. The porters will contact
security on your behalf to get your keys.
On arrival at the Accommodation Office please give the member of staff
your name(s) as our Surgery Booking Staff will have previously made the
booking on your behalf.
The accommodation staff will advise you on returning the key prior to
you going home.
